Djuna has been making movies since she was a little kid and later learned to animate from her students at Stivers in Dayton, Ohio. She began creating the beginnings of Falling Up over four years ago while studying in Belgium. But she was truly set in motion after a series of stifling commercial animation gigs in NYC, whereupon she decided she could no longer look at pixels on a screen--stop-motion would be her salvation.
